At the risk of sounding a bit too confident to some...

I think it’s fair to lay out some reasons why the way we train and prepare candidates for CCO certification is superior to our competition. I can’t say these reasons are in order of importance, because to be honest, some of them hold equal weight against one another!

However, first and foremost, is SAFETY.

You know, that 6 letter word that can strike fear in the heart of companies who play it casually, then suddenly get an impromptu visit from OSHA?

Well, at Craneology, safety is an absolute priority and non-negotiable in crane, rigger, and signalperson training. All of our courses strictly adhere to OSHA and ASME B30 standards. Keeping up with the changes can be daunting at times, but necessary.

Safety isn’t a joke or pencil whipping a checkbox.

Safety is a legitimate concern and of the utmost importance when dealing with heavy equipment and heavy lifting. Of course, the cost of neglecting safety is most costly in human lives, but can also be in the form of money lost to corporations due to accidents, fines, and damaged materials.

When candidates come to our site for CCO training and certification exams, we don’t just oblige at the 15-minute crane familiarization requirement, prior.

Yes, that’s allowed, but it isn’t a very good standard or rule of thumb. At Craneology, we actually care about adequately preparing candidates for their exams. The bare minimum isn’t the benchmark we sit upon, but rather take a conscientious approach instead. The same can be said, and even more so for candidates with little or no experience prior to their initial CCO certification.

Our company is entirely made up of US Marine Corps veterans, and the core values we’ve lived by from the time that we enlisted until this day are Honor, Courage, and Commitment. Combined, we have over 60 years of living and breathing that creed, and it didn’t stop when we retired. It’s our way of life and the very framework of our work ethic.

In addition to that, our employees are all NCCCO accredited examiners, and our site is both a CCO Written and Practical Exam location.

You can find us on nccco.org under Practical Examiners for hire in California. We’re accredited in LB, TLL, TSS, STC, RIG-I, RIG-II, and SGP.

What’s even better than being a practical exam site is, we have our very own LBC, TSS, and TLL cranes.

So when candidates come to us for training and examination, we have the cranes they need ON-SITE to practice on in preparation. It’s a win/win, if you ask us!

At Craneology we employ the three most effective training methods there are. Auditory, Visual, and Kinesthetic. Auditory being learning by hearing information; visual being learning by seeing or watching; and kinaesthetic being learning through action or by doing. Each method builds upon the next until a candidate feels fully prepared for their CCO exams.
